HP and the FM part Six

Part Six


Harry and Hermione each took their seats at the staff table, Harry, sat on the right side of some teacher he didn’t know, and on his other side was Slail. Hermione, was seated on the left side of Hagrid, and the right side of Professor McGonagall, who was now in the headmistress’ seat. As most of the students walked in, Harry noticed Kate walking in, with William at one side, and a blonde girl, that Harry had never met before. Hagrid waved to him with a pleasant look on his face, grinning broadly. Slowly, another teacher Harry didn’t recognize lead all the first years in. The sorting ceremony had begun.
“Slail, who’s that?” Harry asked, nodding towards the person walking up towards the sorting hat, which was seated on its usual stool.
“That, is professor Newwit.. The new transfiguration teacher..” Slail said
“And you are?” Harry asked the witch beside him, ignoring the sorting hats song. Which had started a while before.
“I am Professor Abbot, the Herbology teacher.. And,” She said, nodding towards the wizard on the other side of Hermione “That is Stewart Damien.. He’s the flying lessons teacher..”
“Thanks..” Harry said. So far, he knew everyone on his side of the table, and some on Hermione’s side. There was only three people Harry already knew, Professor bins, the History Of Magic teacher, Hagrid, and Headmistress McGonagall.
“Aberlin, Christopher..” Professor Newwit called, A short, terrified looking boy walked up, as Newwit placed the hat on his head.
“Hufflepuff!” The Hat shouted, A shout of triumph erupted from the Hufflepuff’s as they all cheered as Christopher ran to join them.
“Austin, Kelsey..” Newwit called, a tall, thin, cheerful looking girl ran up front, Newwit placed the sorting hat on her head, and in seconds it shouted
“Gryffindor!” A scream of joy came from the Gryffindor table, Kate and William had jumped to their feet, cheering, as the girl sat next to William. IT was quite a while before she reached the center of the list
“Newman, Michelle..” she became a Slytherin and “Newton, David..” He became another Gryffindor, Hermione became wrapped in conversation with Hagrid. Harry watched until all the students were sorted, down to the last few students
“Winders, Kaylin..” She joined the cheering Hufflepuff table
“Youkin, Nickolas” He Ran over to the Slytherin’s
“Zimmerman, Cole..” There was a long silence, the last of the new students walked slowly up to the sorting hat, he looked frightened, and tired.
“GRYFFINDOR!” The hat shouted, grinning, Cole ran over to the Gryffindor table, and waited. The room slowly fell silent, and Professor Newwit carried away the stool, and the hat, Placed it behind a door, and joined the staff table.  
“Welcome everyone to another year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And to our first years, welcome. As you know, Classes will begin tomorrow morning. I would like to announce the new additions to or staff. At the end of last year, our wonderful charms teacher, Professor Maguire, retired. And hopping for a wonderful welcome, our new teacher, Professor Hermione Weasley..” A few people cheered, including  Kate, William, and the blonde girl. But most of the students just gave an applause, Hermione stood and bowed, before taking her seat again.
“And, our last Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Klein, suffered a terrible injury from the whomping willow, and will not be returning again this year, instead, I’m sure he will get a round of applause,” Kate and William grinned brightly “Professor Harry Potter!” Cheers from almost every direction of the room came out, loud clapping followed quickly, except some of the Slytherin table, they didn’t clap or cheer. But the hall was filled with loud applauses and Long Cheers. Harry stood and bowed, and sat again, just like Hermione. The room slowly fell silent, Harry grinned. For once he received a very warm welcome from Hogwarts. Hagrid and Minerva grinned at Harry, Hermione smiled as well. Harry looked back over the students, and caught a thumbs up from William, and a Wink from Kate. Harry grinned, it felt great to be back. McGonagall continued with her speech she was giving, and once she finished, she sat, and food appeared at every table, Everyone began to eat Cheerfully, Harry included. Although, he admitted, that the school had about two thirds the amount of students they had had when Harry was in school...




The next morning Harry learned he had a class of Second years, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Breakfast had already finished by the time Harry got to speak with Hermione.
“I have Third Year Slytherin’s and Ravenclaw’s..” She said, frowning “That means I have to see that Malfoy boy on my first day..” She said, kicking the ground with her foot angrily
“Your acting like your Twelve Hermione..” Ron said “And your suppose to be teaching Third years?” Hermione shot him an angered look before rushing towards the Charms Classroom.
“Who do you have, Harry?” Ron asked
“Gryffindor’s, and Hufflepuff’s..” Harry said “second years.. William should be there..”
“What are you going to do with them?” Ron asked
“Defensive spells, Expelliarumus, probably..” Harry said “Why?”
“Just.. William hates Loads of Home work..” Ron said “So make sure you give him loads..”
“Er.. I have some.. Just.. They need to practice that’s all..” Harry said, furrowing his eyebrows
“Hermione has long pieces of parchment.. She wants a full essay on Levitating spells..” Ron said, rolling his eyes
“Er.. Class starts soon..” Harry said “Where are you-?”
“Hagrid’s.. He doesn’t have any classes until afternoon.. Sixth years..” Ron said, as Harry walked away from him slowly
“Alright.. I’ll catch up to you later Ron!” Harry said, Running towards the Classroom.
“Harry!” Kate called, walking passed him “must be late to Williams class..” she muttered, walking off with her friend “Come on Hope..” She said, Running towards Ron. Harry entered his class room to find all his students already sitting. William at the head of the class.
“Hello..” Harry said, walking up between the rows of Students, each one looking at him as he passed “Today we will be practicing the Disarming Charm, Expelliarumus..” Harry said, William grinned “I’m sure all of you are familiar with it?” Harry asked, most of every student in the class nodded.  “Alright, then, everyone, form a line starting in front of my desk, between the desks..” He said, Everyone quickly scrambled from their seats, and formed the line. William second in line, eager to start. Harry waved his wand, and all the desks moved to the sides of the rooms.
“Alright, Everyone, prepare your wands..” Harry said “First, If you want to try it, you can try to disarm me..” The girl in the front of the line looked scared
“Ex-Expelliarumus!” She shouted, waving her wand, Harry’s wand did not leave his own hand though.
“Good try, stand over there and wait for a partner.. William..” Harry said, as William was now at the front of the line
“Expelliarumus!” William shouted, Harry’s wand, still did not budge. William walked in the same direction that The first girl left in. Next was a Hufflepuff boy, Grinning
“Expelliarumus!” he shouted, this time, though, Harry’s wand whizzed past his ear, and landed on the floor.
“Good! Ten Points to Hufflepuff. What’s your name?” Harry asked the boy
“Dylan Grim..” the boy said, walking over towards William. Next was a thin girl, brunette and short. She waited as Harry retrieved his wand, then made his way to the font again. “alright..” Harry said.
“Expelliarumus!!” the girl shouted, although, she didn’t say the spell right, and her own wand went flying forwards, Harry caught it quickly. Walking down to the girl he handed her wand back to her
“Nice try..” Harry said, placing it back in her Hand. Before Harry reached his spot again, The next boy shouted Expelliarumus, sending Harry’s wand flying again.. After Every student attempted to disarm Harry, only a few succeeding,   
“Alright everyone, into pairs..” Harry said, Quickly the room filled with Students, spread out, facing each other.
“Alright, now try to disarm your partner.” Harry said. Quickly the room filled with commands of ‘Expelliarumus’ Although, not many wands began to fly across the room. Only a few left their owners hands, and they quickly retrieved them. Harry began to circle the room, helping anyone who appeared to need it. William seemed to have finally mastered it. By the time the lesson was over, nearly the same amount of people as before, had succeeded in using the spell correctly. “Alright, everyone, just practice that with another student in your house..” He said, as all the students left.
“great lesson Harry!” William shouted, as he left the room With Dylan. Harry picked up a few things that had been knocked over when wands flew at them. About an hour later, lunch was served, and everyone ate, fully recovering from their lessons. Harry noticed that Kate and Her friend came back with a  terrible amount of dirt on their faces. Harry Saw Kate mouth “Herbology” to him, as She and her friend ate quickly, then left as soon as they had finished.. The next day was nearly the same, except the last Class of the day was Harry’s Defense against the Dark arts class, with the Third year Slytherin’s and Gryffindor’s. Harry was in class before anyone else. But twelve minutes before class was to start, the door opened, and Kate and her friend came running in quickly “Hia Harry!” Kate said, tacking a seat in the middle of the classroom, and placed her bag on a desk
“Harry, meet Hope Twitter, she’s in Gryffindor,” Kate Said
“Yeah, I knew your mum, Luna Lovegood..” Harry said
“oh! You remember her!” Hope said, in the same dreamy voice her mother had around her age, Grinning
“So what do you have planned for us?” Kate asked, pulling her wand out of her bag and setting it on her desk, “Something good?” She added, looking over at him as Her friend did the same.
“Er.. I don’t know.. Just a review of what you’ve learned..” Harry said “What did your old teachers have you learn?”
“Er..” Kate said “Disarming charms.. Shield charm.. And a few other things.. Nothing dad’s taught me though..”
“And just what did your dad teach you?” Harry asked
“Oh! He taught me the-” Kate started
“Look who it is! Loopy and Critter..” Came a voice from the door. Snivvar Malfoy and his three friends stood there, grinning
“Honestly, you’d think if you were going to make fun of us you’d choose a more hurtful name than Loopy, and the Critter..” Kate said, Rolling her eyes
“Oh, Trying to act Tough in front of Harry are you? Did you tell him you were crying when I said your dad was dense?” Snivvar said, grinning
“Five Points from Slytherin, Snivvar, There will be no fighting in my class..” Harry said, growing slight angry at Snivvar’s remark. Kate growled slightly.
“So what did your dad Teach you, Kate?” Harry asked
“Never mind.. The rest of the class is coming anyways..” Kate muttered, as the doors opened again. Harry waited for everyone to take their seats, before speaking
“Today we’re just going to review a few things you’ve learned, like The disarming-”
“Disarming Charm?” Said A Boy “But we’ve know that one for years.. Cant you start us off with something more Interesting?”
“Maybe.. But we need to Do some Reviewing..” Harry said, “Now, all of you who cant to a disarming charm correctly, stand.”  He said. No one moved from their seats, Kate placed her arm on her desk and made a clunking sound, but no one stood up.
“Good.. How many can’t do a Shielding Charm?” Harry asked, again, no one budged “Excellent..”
“How many of you are familiar with the Patronus charm?” Harry asked, Katie raised her hand, as did hope “I doubt any of you can do it then..” Harry said, Kate moved her lips, but Harry couldn’t hear what she said
“What was that Miss. Lupin?” Harry asked, although, it felt odd saying it
“Er.. No.. Not yet..” Kate said “I mean.. Hope almost can..” Hope nodded slightly
“Would you like to show us, Miss. Twitter?” Harry asked
“Sure..” Hope said, grabbing her wand “Harry, you might want to move, sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn’t..” Harry moved as hope asked,
“Ready?” Harry asked, Hope smiled, then she nodded
“Expecto Patronum.” hope said, waving her wand slightly. A thin mist shot from her wand, but nothing other than that happened “See?” Hope asked
“Yeah..” Kate muttered
“Good Job.. Would any of you like to try and Do the Patronus?” Harry asked, quite a few hands raised in the air, including Kate’s, but Snivvar and his friends did not. “Majority rules, Form a line..” Harry said, and All the students did as they were asked Hope and Kate were somewhere in the middle
“Now, to conjure a Patronus, you have to think of a single, Very happy memory, any memory, it just has to be Happy.  And, once you learn it, It will take on a shape, for every person its different, Mine, is a stag. This is what an actual Patronus would look like.
“Expecto Patronum!” Harry shouted, thinking of his Parents, From the tip of his wand, a Stag seemed to Jump out, standing on the floor in front of him. A few people screamed, and the others just Oohed And Awed over it. Within a little less than a minute, the Stag faded away.
“You probably wont do it on your first Try,” Harry said, Walking over towards the front of the line “But its worth a Try..”
The first half of Kids didn’t really do it, one looked as if a Dog might appear, but nothing happened. Finally, He reached Hope, who was in front of Kate
“Expecto Patronum!” Hope shouted, this time, Something Happened, A Mouse jumped from the Wand, A shinning silver mouse, ran around the room, but soon disappeared
“Excellent! Ten points to Gryffindor!” Harry said, as Hope ran to wait with the others. Kate grinned, holding out her wand, Everyone backed away slightly, Harry wondered why
“My dad kind of worked with me on this..” Kate whispered, “But I couldn’t do it..” She added “I might now..” She muttered to herself, Harry nodded. Kate Took a deep breath.
“Expecto Patronum!” Kate shouted, Quickly, just as Harry or Hopes, a figure moved out of Her wand, it wasn’t as big as Harry’s stag, or as Small as small as Hopes Mouse, But it was about a medium size, then Harry noticed something, It hadn’t stood yet, Standing up, the thing moved, Showing its true form, A wolf, Kate had conjured a Wolf. Kate’s eyes stood transfixed on it, Her face glowing, But in a few seconds, The figure began to change slightly, Kate’s posture changed, and quickly the animal vanished, before Anyone could see it, running quickly over towards Hope, she smiled
“Great Kate! Another Ten Points to Gryffindor!” Harry shouted, trying to hide the curiosity in his voice. Next was Snivvar Malfoy, He Frowned “I’ll show them..” He muttered “Expecto Patronum!” He shouted, but with great effort, But like Hopes first Attempt, only a lot of Silver smoke like fog came out. Snivvar frowned
“Good Try,” Harry said. Most students only got as far as Snivvar, before Class was over. And every time Kate did hers, she wouldn’t let its, ‘True Form’ As Hope called it, show. Every time it began to change, Kate quickly broke concentration, and stopped.. Soon though, the class was over, and he wouldn’t have any third year Gryffindor’s for another week..



The classes were going well for the next five days, He had finally spoken with Hagrid, and heard everything that had been happening. He learned about all the happening’s in the past Few years of school, And was told that During their second year, In defense against the dark arts class, they had a teacher like moody, way ahead of what they were suppose to learn. And that Kate had written an astonishing essay on Werewolves, then everyone found out about Remus Lupin, the werewolf, and most of the students opinions of her had changed. And that William was best in Care of Magical Creatures Class. The first Quidditch Match of the season was to be in Three months, but Harry had watched a Hufflepuff training session a few weeks ago. Harry didn’t have much interest in What Kate was up to, but was trying to find her to See if he could find out what her Patronus might morph into. But every time Harry came into her view, she changed direction, or ran into the nearest Bathroom. It seemed the only time he saw her was during meals. And she was always in the Company of Hope twitter. And whenever she wasn’t, she was being followed by Snivvar and his friends, still Calling her ‘Loopy’. Which was really annoying, not only to Kate, but to everyone around them. Once She nearly Jinxed him, But Harry stopped them from fighting. Hermione’s classes were going exceptionally well, That Snivvar Behaved himself in her class for some reason, even when Kate was Nearby. Harry grinned, it was almost like the old Hogwarts that He knew. The Bullies, and the nicer kids like Hope. Harry furrowed his eyebrows, he had been in the dinner Great Hall eating for quite a while. But he wasn’t really eating anything. Harry stood up, sighed, and walked away, passing a few first years who were still eating, or a few kids that had been late because of class.
Harry had to get to teaching another class right away, he didn’t really even Have time to See Ron, maybe Ron was better off staying back at his real home, actually, Harry hadn’t really seen Ron much at all..
